Drawing from athletes around the region, rowers will learn methods that are foundational to the success of nationally and internationally competitive rowers. There will be an option to race at the USRowing National Championship.

Coach Alex has developed athletes in the northwest and set the coaching foundations for rowers to take their drive for the sport as far as they can go!
Alex has helped with the foundations for Northwest Rowers to two golds, one bronze and one very tight race in 4th at U23 championships. In total, developing 11 rowers who competed at U23s and junior worlds, including 4 gold medal and 3 silver medal finishes.
about the coaches
Alex is the Junior Men's Head Coach at Pocock Rowing Center. Before joining the team at Pocock, Alex was an assistant coach for the University of Washington Heavyweight Men.
Alex earned his Advanced Certificate in Rowing Leadership at the Institute of Rowing Leadership at Community Rowing in Boston. His coaching career has led him to positions at Boston University, Princeton University and an assistant position in the U.S. Junior Men's Sculling selection camp in 2014.
Coach Alex is a native of Bend, Oregon. He rowed for four years at the University of Puget Sound, graduating with a degree in International Political Economy.
